“recognize, preserve, and bring to public attention to the historical treasures of the city and to promote a historical interest in the arts.”
The Owosso Historical Commission was started in DATE by the City of Owosso to preserve historical assets within the city. Today, we fulfill that purpose by overseeing 4 distinct asset properties along with a rich archive of documents, photographs, and historical treasures related to the City of Owosso. We manage and maintain the Curwood Castle, Comstock Pioneer Cabin, Woodard Paymaster Building, and the the Amos Gould House. Our board consists of community residences from Shiawassee and surrounding counties who volunteer their time , talent, and resources to preserving Owosso history.
